Our primary intention was to push the boundaries and challenge the Venture Capital aesthetic, yet still maintain an air of approachability that appealed to Blackbird’s target audience; founders seeking investment. While veering away from the typical VC look, our goal was to craft a vibrant, approachable interface that married Blackbird's renewed identity with a dynamic digital space. This resulted in a blend of electric visuals, handmade photographic imagery, bespoke animations, and functional design. From unique interactions to clear content categorization, our design amalgamated innovation with user-friendliness.
The transformation of Blackbird’s digital platform didn’t just rejuvenate their image; it became an emblem of progressive, audacious branding in the VC space. Engaging for both investors and startups, it elevated the dialogue about venture capital in Oceania, blending finance with creativity, and challenging norms.
