Raised in Ōtepoti, Nikolai dedicated the beginning of adulthood to creative pursuits be it music, sound design or art installation work working hospitality as a means to support himself. After the 2020 Covid lockdowns he looked at a switch in careers desiring more opportunity for personal and professional development. The infinite potential of tech was an easy pull for Nikolai and after attending Enspiral Dev Academy he found he had a real natural inclination for programming.
